Lac Hong University, with the mission of training high-quality human resources and promoting international integration, has designed numerous practical activities to enhance learning experiences for International Business students. These activities not only help students apply theory to practice but also develop the essential skills required to succeed in the global business environment.

A Practical Learning Roadmap from First to Third Year

From the very beginning of their studies at the University, International Business students are provided by the Faculty and the major with a structured roadmap to access practical knowledge. Through this approach, students become familiar with real-world environments at an early stage, which is a necessary condition for understanding their profession and for comparing and contrasting theoretical knowledge learned at the University with practical experience in enterprises. Therefore, from the first year, students can plan and structure their studies to meet future employer requirements.

These activities provide students with opportunities to meet and learn from experts, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders. At the same time, students gain exposure to the latest industry trends, policies, and changes in the global business environment.

Opportunities to Interact with Experts from FDI Enterprises

Each semester, the Faculty and the major organize workshops featuring guest speakers who are experts currently working at FDI enterprises. These activities include: Practical Learning with FDI Enterprises: International Marketing & International Payment, Export–Import Procedures, Specialized Training in Customs Declaration, Practice in Global Trade Planning, etc. During these sessions, experts share practical knowledge and professional experience, creating an in-depth learning and knowledge exchange environment that enables International Business students to grasp emerging trends and apply them in their future careers.

A Solid Foundation for Entrepreneurship

In 2023, Lac Hong University was honored with the title “Typical Institution in Building an Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” at the National Startup Program 2023. Accordingly, from the first year, The Faculty of Administration International Economics (FAIE) consistently encourages students to participate in startup projects and small business activities. A notable achievement is that of Nguyen Thi My Linh, an alumna from Cohort 20 of the Economics (Foreign Trade) major. While still studying at the University, My Linh and a group of students from the Faculty of Information Technology developed the project “Crew Positioning and Rescue Support System,” which won Third Prize at the SV. Startup Competition 2023.

Entrepreneurship activities at the University not only help students apply theoretical knowledge but also stimulate creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Students can practice business planning, financial management, and operating a small enterprise.

Opportunities to Participate in Specialized Competitions

In addition to theoretical knowledge learned at the University, practical insights gained from enterprise visits, and professional knowledge shared by leading experts, International Business students also have opportunities to participate in specialized competitions. These competitions allow students to synthesize and apply knowledge in areas such as export–import, supply chain management, logistics, etc., to propose practical solutions in the field of International Business.

Paid Internships at Enterprises

Every year, International Business students have numerous opportunities for paid internships at enterprises. Students participate in interviews, after which enterprises select those who meet their requirements for internship positions. This is an excellent opportunity for students to apply their acquired knowledge and develop professional skills in a real working environment. Outstanding students receive internship remuneration, which also demonstrates the training quality of the major and the Faculty.
